## How Solar Mesh / Critter Guard Works

Birds — pigeons especially — nest in the gap between your solar panels and the roof. The space is warm, sheltered, and predator-free. Once they settle in, droppings accumulate on your roof, clog gutters, and corrode panel wiring. Nesting material creates fire risk.

Bird Proof installs a breathable, galvanized mesh guard around the full perimeter of your solar array. The mesh clips to the panel frame without penetrating the panel or roof surface. It blocks entry from every angle while preserving airflow for panel cooling.

## Why Pigeons (and Other Critters) Target Solar Panels

Solar panels create a microclimate that pigeons exploit. The gap between the panel and the roof stays 10–15°F warmer than the surrounding surface in winter and shaded in summer.
